MC Hammer and Bill Cosby's Appearance on Tim Russert

Hammer is right: those who want to be critical of Bill Cosby should check themselves as Mr. Cosby is saying what has needed to be said for a long time. The systematic and institutional racism that Cosby speaks of has more applications than he hints at though -albeit there is only so much one can say in a six minute television clip.

One truth that bears noting is what would happen and has happened to non-blacks who say the same things Mr. Cosby is saying. I have long believed and said that slavery still exists in society that is promoted by many who give the appearance of "caring" for other people. This is a subject I may touch a bit on later but for the time being, it suffices to point to the above thread from Hammer and encourage readers to give it a read and the Russert clip of Bill Cosby a listen.
