On The Fraud of "Global Warming":

There IS a problem with global warming... it stopped in 1998 (Bob Carter)
In short, though we've greatly increased our SUV's and other "harmful" products to the enviroment, tempatures haven't increased in the slightest.
Compared to what vehicles were like in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's, the SUV's today are much cleaner. Oh and did I tell you that during the 1970's the concern was "global cooling"?? This was particularly the case after the winter of '76-'77 which was one of the coldest in centuries...they were predicting an ice age coming after that one (ask Greg). Now it is "global warming" supposedly but like the previous "global cooling" it is also a fraud. As one who lives in Seattle I say if there is global warming: bring it on!!! As far as I am concerned, I would love my winters up here to be like they are in Puerto Vallarta the same time of year...heck I will take the winters in Santa Cruz over the winters up here too (sixty and sun most of the time, etc.).
Given the fact that, as Shawn pointed out, that there was this big "coming ice age" scare in the late 1970's in conjunction with the fact that the global warming scare is about 15-20 years old, the idea that such a radical change in the earth's core temperature to the doomsday proportions that the environmental wack fringe claims caused by human industry in such short a time (10-15 years) is implausable on its face. Ergo, its a self-refuting proposition.
I remember watching a news special back in 1977 on CBS affliate WJBK channel 2 hosted by infobabe Robbie Timmons (is she still a local Detroit media figure Kevin?) regarding the coming ice age scare predicting that the Great Lakes will dry up in 25 years. Well, it's 29 years hence and the Great Lakes haven't come anywhere close to drying up.
A good article on the contradictory hysterics about "global warming" and "global cooling" can be read HERE. Also worth considering is the temperature record of the past 1000 years...surely a more reliable barometer than a hundred year old sample. Of course that the temperatures were higher during the dark ages heading into the medieval period is something that contradicts the theory of global warming being caused by technology. Unless they want to claim that the "culprit" of the "global warming" back in the tenth-eleventh centuries was human industry...in the words of that great western philosopher Ben Stein "anyone...anyone???"

(On Revising Anew a Previously Revised Worldview)
[W]hat if, at some time in the future, evidence surfaces that that hard-won knowledge may be wrong? How many people, having lost faith because of a betrayal, and having laboriously reconstructed a new worldview, can revise that worldview again? What if that worldview turns out to have been a house of cards? Who can stand two betrayals--trust having been placed in a rescuer, the press, who is now exposed as having been a liar and a betrayer, also? Who can return to believing that the government--although flawed (there is no returning to the initial state of naive, unquestioning trust)--is now to be trusted more than the press, after all?
